Mojo Monday 262

Hi,
Hope you are well and happy... the weather doesn't look well and happy today here, but I have to say I have enjoyed our little spell of dry weather...  it's lovely to get the sheets blowing on the washing line (good job I do them early in the week, eh?!).
I have finally had some new cupboards for the cupboard under the stairs... which is where I am keeping my craft stuff (well, some of it anyway)... now I don't know how to organize everything... how can it be so complicated!!!!  Must be me!  I am trying to be organized in a way it's easier to use my tools and things... I have things I hardly use because it's such a hassle to have them out for a short period of time...
Anyway, enough of that... my inspiration came from this weeks sketch over at Mojo Monday #262... it's a Christmas card... and I must say I really enjoyed playing.

Off to make the most of the afternoon on my own today...
Take care,
Hugs

Mojo Monday #261

Hi,
Well, I have not been able to find anytime to craft lately...  and I need to get on with making my Christmas cards.  Today my inspiration came from Mojo Mondays sketch #261, it made me get all my stash out looking for round inspiration... ha!

I made my Christmas planner at the beginning of the year this time... and I have dug it out ready to start making lists to organize myself...  hopefully it will get me moving in the right direction with my cards!  The time seems to fly when all the christmas build up starts... I seem to spend so much of december running around with the children with all the things they have going on...

Anyway, I'm off to have a play with my stash!
Take care

Sketch N Stash #96

Hello,
Hope you are well...  I have been playing again... This time my inspiration came from Sketch N Stash challenge 96...  This was a fun sketch... and the stash I used is some that I bought in a kit from QVC rather a long time again.  It's Flair Designs paper...  The fibre I used I have had forever (you can't really see it on the picture... I'm not good at using fibres to be honest.

I have bought some scalloped cards to play with next... so hopefully I will be back soon with another Christmas card or two...  I hope you are having a great day... I am so glad I don't have anywhere else to go today... there is a real chill to the wind here today despite that rather warm sunshine!!!!

Mojo Monday 259

Hi,
Hope you are well and happy.  Thank you for popping to look at my blog.  I am working on my Christmas cards now... my aim is to have them finished before half term, so I have been again sorting through stash, playing with my die cutters and could really do with a couple of good Christmas films to get me in the mood!!!!
I did find inspiration over at Mojo Monday with sketch 259... I really enjoyed playing along, what a great sketch!

My children seem to have decided that because I am cutting out snowflakes and holly leaves, it's a good time to start Christmas lists... OMG!!!   Off to have another session on making some Christmassy flowers....

Take care,
Hugs

Mojo Monday #258

Hi,
Hope you are well... Ooops, that was quite a gap, wasn't it?  I just seem to have lost my mojo over the summer...  actually I have done a fair bit of baking but in our house nothing lasts long enough to take many pictures.
So, of course, having settled the children back to school, I am now starting on my Christmas cards... and here is my first offering...  My inspiration came from Mojo monday's sketch 258, it's a really great sketch to start with.  I have actually spent alot of the day just sorting out stash...

Hopefully, I will be back really soon with some more...
Take care

Mojo monday - Sketch 249

Hi,
Hope you had a lovely weekend... I am a very proud Mum today... my daughter got her Gold in swimming this weekend.  She is pretty shy and no matter how much we all keep telling her how good she is at swimming, she still lacks confidence in her ability... she swam her 36 lengths in 23 minutes and 9 seconds... time to spare... they have 25 minutes to do it in.  As I said, I am very proud of her.

Anyway, moving on to my crafting... this is my take on Mojo Mondays sketch 249.  I liked this sketch, as always it was fun to play along.

I also made some other cards this weekend... I seem to be pretty low on cards and have alot of birthdays this week.

I saw a card similar to this on a blog somewhere and then couldn't find it again, so I am not sure if I remembered it right, but I loved making the card and am very pleased with the results.

In celebration of the Gold swimming cerificate, I made a chocolate and almond cake yesterday... I actually managed to get a picture of it before anyone put a knife in it this time.

I am hoping for some more play time this week... need a couple of anniversary cards and a couple more birthday cards.

Well, I think I need a cup of tea... before I tackle my ironing pile.
Take care and keep smiling.

Mojo Monday sketch 248

Hello!
Hope you are all well.  I have been playing again... my inspiration came from playing along with Mojo Monday's sketch 248...  great sketch!  I seem to spend a bit too much time playing with flowers and my time just disappeared ...  I hate it when that happens!

I also played in the kitchen yesterday with cake and strawberries... it has to be done at this time of year, doesn't it?  All those lovely strawberry desserts...  I'd say summer strawberry desserts but it doesn't quite sound right this year, does it?

It was a very yummy cake and didn't last long!  Nothing ever does in our house.  I honestly don't know where my kids put their food these days, they are always hungry!!!!!

Today is a big day in our house.  My daughter has her experience day at High School today.  She was very nervous and seemed to stress about everything this morning, but when I dropped her off she gave me a big smile and a big wave... I am so excited for her, I know this sounds strange but I loved both my middle school and high school.  I hated primary school, I didn't enjoy school until I was 11 and we moved.  The year my daughter is in seems to have had alot of issues throughout school, to the point I think the school will be glad when they have moved one and my daughter is pretty quiet and doesn't like that they have so many problems in the class.  I am hoping the high school is a better experience for her because she enjoys the learning and the social aspects of school.  Fingers crossed, eh?   And not forgetting my son... he is in Year 6 for the day.  He gets to know what his 'job' is for the year and has his fingers crossed for something important and responsible.

Anyway, will go and make a cup of tea.  Have a lovely afternoon.
Take care
Kim
