2 Sketches 4 You: Laura's Sketch 44

Hi,
I have made this for my cousins little girl... I found Laura's Sketch 44 from 2S4U very inspiring... thank you for the chance to play along.

The paper is from a DCWV's Blossoms & Butterflies Stack. The fairy from some images I've acquired from somewhere ... my daughter loves these too... I usually get these sort of things from my mum... I tend to share buttons, brads and flowers, buy her rub ons and so on I can't resist, and she tends to give me images, papers, stickers and so on. Works out very well, gives us both more variety...

Anyway, tonight my children have gone to a junior disco, OH is at work and it leaves me to play. I have crafting everywhere... the trouble is I spend too much time admiring things I find and not enough time actually crafting!!! Paper stroking is a particularly irritating past-time I do regularly... Well, my goal is to do at least a scrapbooking page and one more card before I get to bed tonight!!!!

Hope the weekend is fun for you all!

Mojo Monday challenge 123

Good morning,
Hope you are all feeling brighter than our weather... it's very dull and dark here!
This is my offering for Mojo Monday's challenge 123. I made this yesterday. I have been digging through my stash... where did it all come from???? I found a pad of papers by DCWV called 'Black & White Prints' 6x6... not my usual sort of thing... not surprised I've only had a piece or two out of the pad... I also found the sheet of peel offs and I thought I'd have a go... not the easiest of things to find inspiration... of course the lovely sketch from Mojo Monday gave me a head start...
As I finished it, I knew immediately who I will be sending this too... strange that!
I am hoping to find some time to play with my new Cuttlebug today... I still haven't fetched it out of the box!!!!
Hope you have a fun day...

Magazine cover challenge

Hi,
I just had to play with this challenge from Digital Doodling ... honestly, you must have a go... This was the only one I saved, but I played with loads... so much fun!!!

I figured my kids would appreciate this when they come home... it was a highlight of our Disney trip... tea with the characters. Goofy was definately a favourite with my two... I didn't get my pic took with a character... as I was the one taking the pictures obviously there aren't many of me on the trip which doesn't bother me... but I must admit when I uploaded the pictures to the computer I did feel a bit disappointed that I hadn't thought about a character picture for mummy... having said that there was one of mummy with daddy!!!!! ha!
I suppose many scrapbookers find this happens alot!!!! I hope I'm not the only one!!!
Well I'm off to marinade the pork... as you do!!!!!
Hope you have a lovely day...

Caroline's 18th birthday card

Here is the 18th birthday card... I had some fairy card making stuff to play with my daughter so I used some of that... beautiful colours...

I like the hint of glitter that is very popular at the mo!
Off to do my next challenge... I have about 6 birthdays all in a run within the next week or so... bit like London buses!!!!
Hope you have been finding time to craft!

Caardvarks 'Red' Challenge

Hi,
My take on Caardvarks 'Red' challenge... I love this heart paper... nearly killed me to cut it!!!! The stamp is a Daisy & Dandelion stamp. I enjoyed making this... I used a Martha Stewart corner punch and a Woodware border punch. Aren't I being good using all this stuff?!!! At least this way I can justify buying it...

Hope you are having a great day,

2S4U - Sketch 44

Good morning...
I have made a pact with myself about a couple of things... one is to get fitter... luckily I am not going to the gym today... which has left me time to myself to craft... and the other is to use all the stuff I keep buying for my crafting. This means I need to use the stamps that are starting to pile up... this is a lovely stamp, I have had it for a while, I don't know where it came from or who designed it, but it is lovely. The papers I have used are Basic Grey's Mellow collection. The punch is a Martha Stewart one. The ribbon is actually yellow but looks gold on the photo for some reason. This is my take on 2S4U's Sketch 44... what a lovely sketch. As soon as I saw it last night, I knew it would inspire me this morning.

I am going to make an 18th birthday card next. My cousins daughter is 18 on monday... it's one of those iconic moments that you think to yourself 'how did the time go by so fast?' and 'OMG! I'm getting old!!!' In actual fact, there was another one last week when a friend of mine who hasn't had her 40th birthday yet and she became a grandma... Wonderful news, gorgeous baby, but makes me shift in my seat at how the time goes by!!!!
On that note, as I sit here chatting I am not getting my cards made, am I? I was going to set my goal at a Christmas card a week, but I haven't got around to starting that one yet!!!
Hope you all have a lovely day... despite the weather!

Happy New Year .... and some blog Candy to look at!

Hi,
We started the year with NO INTERNET... it's such a vital part
of your life these days it's dreadful when it's not there... not that I have done much crafting since Christmas.
Christmas was fun with the children... had some down parts just after... Men, eh!!!!! The New Year was fun too, the children and I spent it at my sisters. Then of course the snow fell, much to the delight of my son... he couldn't believe his luck that they closed his school so quickly after returning from the Christmas break and has been praying for more ever since... bless him!
We decided to join a local leisure club as a family... it has a gym, pools, keep fit classes, classes for the kids in football, etc, and it is great. I really didn't think it was a very good idea at first, we looked at one place that made me want to walk straight out again... very intimidating I thought... this one is attached to a local holiday park and is very family orientated (is that how you spell it?) So now I am trying to get fit... OMG... it is killing me... so unfit!!!!!
Anyway, the blog Candy I discovered on my first look/see is as follows...
http://thedailymarker.blogspot.com/2010/01/my-blog-candy-giveaway.html

picture is on the side... looks wonderful, doesn't it? I need some inspiration to get me going on some card making and I really need to scrapbook last years holiday photo's... to make sure I do them before we go away this year!!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day...
Hugs
